American soprano Anita Lyons is quickly creating a niche for herself in the dramatic repertoire. Most recently, Ms. Lyons created the title role in the world premiere of Anne Hutchinson, debuted at St. Paul’s Historic Church in Mount Vernon, New York.
She also gave her Opera Pomme Rouge debut in their all-female production of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and her Opera Theatre of Montclair debut, singing the Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte.
Upcoming engagements include her role debut as Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung with the New York Verismo Wagner Opera Guild, performances of Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder, and company debuts with Delaware Valley Opera Company.
Ms. Lyons has appeared with New York Opera Forum, Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Boheme Opera NJ, Riverside Opera Company, and others, and has performed at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Brevard Music Festival, and venues throughout the United States.
